Christ’s Reign of Justice and Peace
This Sunday we will celebrate Christ the King Sunday, a day
to reflect deeply on the lordship of Jesus Christ. Our scripture passage will
be Daniel 7:13-14, which speaks of the Messiah being given authority and
sovereign power over all nations.
In the sermon, we'll explore how Christ fulfilled the
messianic prophecies, not through force or politics, but through sacrificial
love and service. His model of leadership calls us to live by different values
- humility, justice, and peace.
Christ's kingdom is inclusive, breaking down barriers and
inviting all people to experience God's grace. As Christians, we're called to
live in active anticipation of this kingdom by embodying kingdom values now.
Our hope is not just for the future but impacts how we live today.
As we wrap up the Christian year, I invite you to reflect:
·
How can you
acknowledge Christ's kingship in your own life? Are there areas where his
lordship needs to become more complete?
·
What does it
look like for you to live as an ambassador for Christ's kingdom of justice and
peace in your spheres of influence?
I look forward to exploring these questions together as we
celebrate the reign of Christ the King!
