Dear Church Family
This coming Sunday is a very special day for us as Christians. It is Pentecost, the day when we celebrate the sending of the Holy Spirit and the birthday of the church. Pentecost is the only time of the year that the church paraments and pastor’s stole are red, symbolizing the fire and power of the Spirit. In celebration of Pentecost, I invite you to wear red if you desire, to show your joy and gratitude for the gift of the Spirit.
We will also take time to remember those brave men and women that paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. In honor of Memorial Day, a day set aside to remember those that died in battle, we will set aside time for members to call out the names of loved ones that died in battle. Remember, this is not the time to honor veterans as we do on Veterans Day nor is it the time to honor active-duty members, as we do that on Armed Forces Day.
I look forward to seeing you all on Sunday, as we worship God in spirit and in truth. May God bless you and keep you always.
Blessings,
Paul
