Acts 1:1-11

As we approach the often-overlooked celebration of Ascension Sunday, we are reminded not only of Jesus' departure but also of the transformative event that marked the beginning of the Holy Spirit's work among us. But what does this transition truly signify for us, as believers? In the anticipation of His return, how then should we live our lives?

In my upcoming sermon, we will explore the profound impact of the ascension on the early church and its relevance to us in our spiritual journey today. We will reflect on how Jesus' physical departure was a prerequisite for the spiritual arrival of the Holy Spirit and the deep implications of this shift in our relationship with God.  We’ll look at living life in the “the in-between”. I’ll talk about this and more on Sunday.

On this day, as we celebrate the 257th birthday of our great nation, it is a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge the blessings we have received from God.
